Red String Project

Red String is an international art installation to raise awareness about social exclusion, discrimination, integration and related subjects, through confrontation and public debate. The project creates a platform where experiences and thoughts are gathered with interviews/statements and shared with the public.

The concept of the project are 12 kilometres of  red string (common threat), where the architecture of the installation adapts and integrates to the conditions of  each venue. The same thread is built up, knotted and taken apart again, taking and sharing  each story to the next location. The installation reflects the word “integration”, where society and media contribute for todays problems and take an important part at the forthcoming of adolescents and humanity.

Red String is the common thread from those who suffered exclusion, humiliation, violence and even death…
